Privacy
Policy

To comply with – and in the spirit of – GDPR legislation, here is a breakdown of the information our website might collect about you, and what we do with it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to ascertain how people tend to find our website on the internet and what they do when they get here. This means that the IP address of your internet connection is shared with Google, who process this information and who can therefore track your behaviour on this website. We use the information solely to improve our website and to judge how best to spend our marketing budgets.

Your location

We ask you for your location in order that the website can ascertain which of our depots is most local to you. We may store your location on a temporary cookie, so that it is remembered the next time that you visit the site. However, it is not retained on a database unless you actively register your details with the site by opening an account.

Your account, and order details

If you open an account on this website, you can subsequently choose to delete it at any time by choosing this option when logged in. This is a ‘hard delete’ – no information about you will be retained.

The exception is where you have already placed an order with us, whereby your personal information will be retained against that order, to allow us to maintain necessary business records. If this causes you concern, we can delete this manually – please make a request in writing to our offices.

Your payment details

We use Stripe as a payment gateway, should you place an order online with us. Your payment details will therefore be sent to this third-party company. We do not receive these payment details. Stripe are fully compliant with all relevant legislation.

  1. Embedded content from other websites

  2. Websites sometimes use embedded content. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

An example of embedded content is the map on the ‘contact’ page, which is embedded from Google. We may also use a ‘chat’ function solely to assist with customer services – this may include embedded content from the provider of the chat software. There is no ‘invisible’ embedded content on this website.

Cookies

You’ll be familiar with cookies by now: small files of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer or device.

We use the following cookies:

  1. Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services

  2. Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

  3. Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences (for example, your region).

You block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site. This will particularly affect you if you wish to open an account to make a booking.

Thanks for reading, and please contact us if you have any concerns.
